I believe he was born in 1977.
People dance to it because of the beat but the lyrics themselves are quite depressing. Even Phoenix talked about how the music and lyrics are complete opposites of one another in this interview.
Phoenix are also coming to Indonesia next year! But I’m soooooooooo sad I can’t go because of my college! Ugh!!! :(

i doubt they’ll have a tour bus in australia since we don’t really ever have tour buses here. everywhere is too far apart so international bands will usually go from city to city by plane!
i’ll let laura add her thoughts if she sees this too, but unfortunately i don’t really do much other than show up on time, be prepared for some serious dancing, sing-a-longs and remember there’s always a couple of idiots to avoid in the mosh, and try not to let my friends get squashed in a crowd. i just have fun! if you’re trying to meet them before or after a show, i guess you should try and find the entrance to backstage and wait there? the only time i’ve met them was at a signing at a music festival, but laura’s met them a bunch of times before/after shows. :)
Laura here! To meet them you should look for their tour bus. You’ll have to wait a lot, I’ve waited more than an hour before but they’ll come out eventually and greet every fan there. Also if you want to be in the front you should probably head over a couple of hours before doors open.
i do believe i forgot to express my excitement about getting my ticket to see phoenix next year!!
is that a good thing? i’m gonna go with that’s a good thing. (unless it’s some american thing i don’t know about?)
